Indian Catholic Youth Movement Vorkady unit conducted liturgy on 15 th August 2024 on the occasion of Independence day and Feast of Assumption of Mother Mary. The mass began at 7:45 am, the ICYM members participated actively in the liturgy, leading the prayers, reading the scriptures and offerings brought by the members. The homily highlighted the importance of Independence Day and the feast of Mother Mary’s Assumption was delivered by Fr. Basil Vas.
The ICYM members showed great enthusiasm and participation throughout the liturgy.After the mass a flag hoisting ceremony was organised by the ICYM members. Rev. Fr. Basil Vas hoisted the flag and gave his message and thereafter concluded by distributing sweets to the gathering.
