August 15, 2024 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement Vorkady unit celebrated 78th Indian Independence Day on 15th August 2024.Flag hoisting ceremony began at around 9 am. Ms Jisha Monteiro gave an introduction about the programme.Rev Fr Bazil Vas Parish Priest was the chief guest of the programme.Ashwitha Veigas, Member of ICYM Vorkady unit welcomed the gathering. Diana Cutinha,ICYM President Vorkady unit requested the chief guest to hoist the flag.Rev Fr Bazil Vas addressed the gathering about the significance of Indian Independence Day and Feast of Assumption of Mary.
Sonal Veigas, Unit Secretary proposed the vote of thanks. ICYM members distributed sweets to the gathering.
